Researcher, Matthew Mackay, Abertay University, is exploring cyber resilience, including reviewing available guidance and best practice for cyber resilience, assessing available frameworks to allow an organisation to increase their resilience, and identifying how organisations can improve.
The research seeks to address the problem of how organisations prepare for and manage the consequences of a cyber-attack and/or a data breach.
The research draws on British Government policy, strategy, and guidance and conducts a review of available cybersecurity frameworks and standards that allow organisations to better prepare.
The research also explores the further consequences of a cyber-attack, such as the impact on the organisation’s reputation, and what an organisation can do to mitigate this.
The survey is split into a number of thematic areas, detailing different aspects of the research. A large proportion of the questions ask survey respondents to state how strongly they agree or disagree with a given statement. There are also free-text questions which allow for expansion of the evidence for those selections.
The research critically hinges on the responses received, and your involvement in this research is greatly appreciated.
The survey can be accessed here.
