North West Cyber Resilience Centre Celebrates 400 Members

We are delighted to have welcomed our 400th member to the Cyber Resilience Centre this month!

Being part of the National Cyber Resilience Centre network, we are here to provide support and guidance to small-to-medium-sized organisations so they can improve their cyber resilience.

400 members for NWCRC

SMEs account for three-fifths of the employment and around half of the turnover in the UK private sector.

The latest statistics from the ,Federation of Small Businesses show that at the start of 2021 there were 5.5 million small businesses (with 0 to 49 employees), with SMEs accounting for 99.9% of the business population (5.6 million businesses).

All SMEs regardless of sector or size are launching new websites, social media accounts, setting up online banking accounts and giving customers the ability to shop online, it has never been more critical for businesses to be cyber secure.

This is where we as part of the Cyber Resilience Centre network become a crucial resource for SMEs. Established in partnership between the police, private sector and academia, we’re here to help North West micro, small and medium-sized organisations protect themselves against cybercrime.

As well as a range of paid membership opportunities (including ,security awareness training and vulnerability assessments) we also offer micro businesses a ,free core membership as an effective and simple way to ensure businesses are protected from common cyber-attacks.
