As tensions continue to rise in the Ukraine, Lindy Cameron, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), has advised that all UK organisations should protect themselves from cyber threats. The NCSC has provided actions to take when the cyber threat is heightened. You may be wondering what a war 2,000 miles away in eastern Europe has to do with your business, but writing in the Sunday Telegraph, Lindy advised how cyberattacks do not respect geographic boundaries and that UK businesses are being targeted by overseas criminals on a daily basis. As the crisis escalates, we anticipate more cyberattacks with UK businesses potentially being caught in the crossfire. To help you better understand the threat and the practical steps you can take to mitigate the risk, you can download our free Little Book of Cyber Scams.
The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC)has also issued helpful guidance (see below) on how to increase cyber resilience, additional services for businesses and information on reporting cyber incidents.
