EMCRC welcomes new Cyber Essentials Partner

Northamptonshire cyber security solutions company in2secure have become our latest Cyber Essentials Partner, enabling us to refer businesses to them for help with their cyber hygiene, assist with their cyber needs and take advantage of their expert knowledge.

The EMCRC acts as an impartial broker in the interests of our community members, referring them when requested to our Cyber Essentials Partners, who can guide them through the Cyber Essentials certification.

If a member contacts us needing other services such as Incident Response - or they need a new IT partner - then we can signpost them to our associates who have the required skillset.

Referrals and signposting are based on what our members need, and we always try to put members in touch with partners who are local to them.

We now have 12 Cyber Essentials Partners throughout the East Midlands region who have a vast range of skills and knowhow, enabling them to assist businesses of any size.

In2secure specialise in offering cyber security services to businesses throughout Northamptonshire. They offer a range of services including IT consultancy, cyber support and accreditations such as Cyber Essentials and IASME Cyber Assurance.

They are a National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Assured Service Provider, and are licensed to deliver Cyber Advisor services to organisations. They are also a certified body for the Cyber Essentials scheme and have over 30 years IT experience.

In2secure believe in providing high quality, pragmatic and deliverable cyber security advice to suit the size of organisation they are working with. They don’t believe in a 'one size fits all' approach and provide advice that would be appropriate for the size, complexity and budgets of their clients.

They specialise in working with smaller organisations who may not have an in-house IT team to support them, although they are also happy to work alongside the IT teams of larger organisations.

They are interested in providing training to smaller businesses on cyber security and the controls they can put in place to protect themselves. Too often they – like us - hear businesses say they are too small to be a target for cyber criminals, and therefore they are keen to reach out to these organisations to inform them of the risks.

Evelyn Williams, Owner of in2secure, said of her company becoming Cyber Essentials Partners:

"In2secure are delighted to become a Cyber Essentials Partner with The Cyber Resilience Centre for East Midlands. As both Cyber Essentials Assessors and NCSC Cyber Advisors we are looking forward to working in partnership with the EMCRC team to increase awareness of cyber security and the controls organisations can implement to protect themselves, something both in2secure and the EMCRC are passionate about.
The more businesses we can encourage to have the correct controls in place, the more we build the resilience to cyber-attacks within the region and beyond."

DI Colin Ellis, Managing Director and Police Delivery Lead at the EMCRC, added:

"It’s great to have Evelyn and in2secure join the centre as a Cyber Essentials Partner. She really understands the important role that the EMCRC has in working to help get our region’s businesses more secure.
Evelyn has gone through the NCSC Cyber Advisors program, like several of our existing Cyber Essentials Partners so, like them, she is ideally placed to help, consult on and certify the Cyber Essentials certification for our EMCRC community."

What is a Cyber Essentials Partner?

Our Cyber Essentials Partners are certifying bodies operating throughout our region that have been accredited by Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises Consortium (IASME), who have been selected by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as the body to oversee Cyber Essentials.

We are proud to work alongside the best cyber agencies and consultants from across the region to offer access to national intelligence data and affordable, practical help to businesses across the east Midlands.

Our Cyber Essentials Partners can help your organisation achieve Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification, and like ourselves, are focused on promoting continuous improvement in cyber resilience.

In2Secure are a great addition to the EMCRC's Cyber Essentials Partner group, and it shows our ambition as a Centre that we wish to partner with such outstanding businesses and organisations.

But our ambition doesn’t end there. We’re seeking the support of other distinguished businesses and motivational business leaders by joining us, not just as Cyber Essentials Partners, but as Community Members, Friends of the Centre, Community Ambassadors, Advisory Group members or Board members. We now have the scope for businesses to partner with us on various levels of affiliation.

If you would like to support our work and join our community, or feel you can bring equal skill, vision and ingenuity to the Centre in other areas, then please contact us via our website or contact Colin Ellis via his LinkedIn account.
