The Cyber PATH programme, which gives university students the opportunity to work alongside senior security practitioners to deliver affordable and high-quality cyber resilience services, is once again searching for the next generation of specialists in cyber resilience.

The programme welcomes the brightest university students from across the country with the drive and intellectual ability to address the changing landscape of crime.

Applicants are not expected to have an extensive background in cyber or an in-depth understanding of cyber resilience techniques, but students with the capacity to develop the necessary skills, who can work successfully as part of a team and deliver the highest quality support to SMEs are encouraged to sign up to the programme.

Essential criteria:

  • Student at an east midlands Higher education provider

  • In full time education until at least June 2025.

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Passion for Cyber security

The programme welcomes applications from those with disabilities and would be happy to discuss reasonable adjustments.

Once enrolled on the programme, students will continue with their studies, but will be expected to deliver affordable and high-quality cyber resilience services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This will either be via an online platform, or on site at a business’s premises.

In the process, students become equipped with the essential skills, knowledge and on-the-job training required to succeed in the workplace upon graduation - whether they are looking to enter a career in the police, take up a role in the SME community or join a top-quality graduate scheme.
