The East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre is delighted to welcome and announce two new members who will bolster the team and add valuable experience.

Last month, the team at the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre expanded to four members with the welcome arrivals of Reuben Leach and Vicki Walker.

Reuben will become the Cyber Engagement Officer based in Northamptonshire, therefore providing coverage of the southern parts of our region, while Vicki has been deployed as the Community Outreach Lead and will primarily be the face of the EMCRC in our Community Outreach campaign.

Reuben will offer the Centre his vast knowledge of cyber, whilst Vicki offers us a constant presence in the towns of the East Midlands as she visits businesses to talk to them about their cyber security and promote our services

The duo will assist Managing Director Colin Ellis and Comms Lead Phil Viles with the everyday running of the Centre, and provide extra knowhow and value in their specific areas of work.

Reuben has 25 years of experience in the IT industry and helping businesses achieve their IT goals. Before commencing work with the EMCRC as the Cyber Engagement Officer, he worked for an IT Managed Services Provider for over 21 years.

He has extensive knowledge of the ways in which businesses can protect themselves against cyber threats, and has helped numerous organisations achieve the Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus standard. He was also instrumental in the implementation and successful recertification/surveillance audits of the ISO27001 Information Security standard.

Outside of work Reuben practices Judo as a hobby, and is a father to four children with the eldest being 22 and the youngest 4. You can contact Reuben via email or via Linked In.

Vicki joins the EMCRC as the Community Outreach Lead. She has a strong background in sales and delivering excellent customer service, and is primarily from a construction material background.

Outside of work, Vicki is passionate about health, wellbeing and fitness. So much so, that she is also a qualified Gym Instructor and has diplomas in Health and Wellness.

Vicki can be contacted via email or Linked In.

We hope you'll welcome both Reuben and Vicki to our team, and you're sure to see them both out and about in the community and at various events across the East Midlands.
