According to Microsoft, open-source supply chain attacks are up a staggering 650% from 2020.

The chain reaction from an attack on a singular supplier can compromise an entire network of providers. So, the question is, how can you defend an entire supply chain?

To put it simply, you can’t - but you can work to ensure that your supply chain invests in cyber security infrastructure. Protective measures, which respond and prevent potential supply chain attacks in the future, while also dampening their impact, need to be a priority for all in this day and age.

Indeed, last year, the government announced that IT service providers could be required to follow new cyber security rules as part of new proposals from the government to help British businesses manage the growing cyber threat. We’ll continue to update on this news as it comes.
