Here at the Eastern Cyber Resilience Centre we pride ourselves on listening to our members and stakeholders and coming up with innovative solutions.
Following some feedback from business owners who pointed out that they run their businesses primarily on phones, we were challenged to find a way to make the centre more accessible. DI Fiona Bail, came up with the concept of creating an app that offers valuable website content with the addition of some hot buttons allowing you to report cyber-crime simply and quickly.
Importantly, we will be able to send push notifications to all users of the app relating to developing cyber threat issues. That way you’ll be able to respond quickly to newly identified cyber threats without having to visit the website!
So we are delighted to announce the launch of the app, which is now available from both the Apple Store and Google Play. So get down there now and download our free Eastern CRC app to start getting up to date cyber threat assessment updates, blogs and access to our work calendar – that way you know where we’ll be if you ever want a face to face chat.
Detective Supt Paul Lopez said
‘I’m really pleased at the speed at which we have made this important new development a reality. From a proof of concept back in April, Fiona, our tech partners and the team have worked really hard to get this delivered in time for the beginning of our second year as a company. It underpins our commitment to support all organisations across the region who remain at risk and will add real value to our ability to deliver significant change for businesses in the coming months and years’.
