You may have heard us say or seen on social media that we often refer to the sobering statistic that Wales is the number one place in the UK (alongside London) where people are most affected by cybercrime.

Since the Cyber Resilience Centre for Wales (WCRC) had its official launch in spring 2021, we’ve been spreading the word among small businesses, SMEs, charities and third sector organisations about being cyber aware and getting better protected from the risks of cybercrime.

We are delighted to have hit a significant milestone, ahead of schedule too, and now have more than 1,000 registered businesses that have joined the WCRC’s membership community! We have welcomed companies from all sectors – retail, travel and tourism, hospitality, manufacturing, education, charities, IT and more, but we don’t do this alone.

Thank you to our policing colleagues across Wales, board members, advisory group, trusted partners, community ambassadors and all the organisations that have worked side by side with us to carry out this essential work to make Wales become a more cyber safe place to live, work and play.

Two thousand members here we come!
