Hello All, I hope this post is not annoying. I’m looking for advice. I have a BS in Comp Sci but I’ve only been able to find Serving Gigs And it’s been 3 years since I graduated. I have no idea why it hasn’t occurred to me to get into IT, until now. Specifically Security seems to be in demand at the moment. I was thinking of doing the Comptias Security+ exam but I need to get certifications the most inexpensive route because money is tight(server salary). I’m open to paying for courses but I don’t want I don’t have like $100s to waste on courses that aren’t very useful(I’ve been burned before). What is the most thorough and inexpensive textbook/ courses/ website to get training through. I’m hoping getting this certification would make me more marketable, and hopefully a new passion I uncover. I do know the very basics of hardware and am pretty familiar with the OSI layers and have achieved my STRATA certification in high school (I know it’s baby stuff and not entirely useful, but at least I know that much) and what not. I’m a great studyer and I am EXTREMELY disciplined when it comes to study so any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much, have a great day. Sorry if this is not the appropriate post for this sub.

TLDR; CS graduate is looking to transition to IT and taking Comptia Security+, knowing what you know now what would be the most affordable route to accomplish this if you aren’t a TOTAL beginner.
