The Security Institute is hosting its Annual Conference on Thursday 26th October 2023 at 1 Wimpole Street in central London with the theme – ‘The Domino Effect: Prepare, Protect and Analyse’.

The full-day itinerary includes the attendance of industry experts from various backgrounds in security. There will be numerous guest speakers throughout the day who will be delivering topical conversations and debates, as well as an exhibitor’s room where delegates can network and ask questions with leading security businesses.

The Security Institute is honoured and proud that its Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal has graciously agreed to attend this year.

The Security Institute has also announced a significant reduction in the ticket price for its members to attend its prestigious Annual Conference this year because of the generous sponsorship of its Corporate Partners.

The Domino Effect: Prepare, Protect and Analyse

The theme for the Annual Conference is – ‘The Domino Effect: Prepare, Protect and Analyse’. This has been chosen to highlight the chain of events required to create a safe environment for individuals, communities, and businesses. Collaboration and coordination are fundamental to private, public, and government sectors to ensure best practice is achieved in both Cyber and Physical Security. Other important considerations are the need for preparation, protection, and post-incident analysis so that improvements can be identified.

‘Tough Enough To Care’

The Security Institute is proudly supporting the charity ‘Tough Enough To Care.’ Stuart Bratt founded ‘Tough Enough To Care’ (TETC) in 2019 when he lost two friends to suicide within a few days of each other.

TETC is passionate about working within male-dominated spaces to remove toxic masculinity and promote positive conversations around mental health. It offers online and peer support services, as well as a free text service to anyone needing to talk.

TETC also provides mental health and suicide prevention training to all types of organisations. The money raised at the Annual Conference will be donated to this worthwhile cause.
