We have recently announced how we are assisting a number of our academic partners - the from University of London (Queen Mary) and the Universities of Nottingham and Kent - with a new and important project designed to examine how best to support small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in their ongoing struggle to become more cyber resilient.

The title of this current piece of research is ‘Enhancing Cyber Resilience of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises through Cyber Security Communities of Support (CyCOS)’.

As the survey team have stated -

We are conducting a survey to understand the support needs of small businesses in the UK, to establish their current understanding and confidence around cyber security, and their awareness and perceptions of available support. The findings will inform activities to enhance support provision through the design, implementation and pilot evaluation of Cyber Security Communities of Support (CyCOS), enabling collaborations that enhance the level and availability of specialist support available to SMEs.
