Paxton has been awarded the Manufacturing Future Talent Award at the Made in the South East Awards 2023.

The judges chose Paxton as the winner after careful consideration, citing the sixth year running Paxton Scholarship Programme.

The Manufacturing Future Talent Award recognises the manufacturing business that has done the most to further the cause of apprenticeships, general training, development, and upskilling of people.

The Paxton Scholarship, highlighted by the judging panel, is an annual programme that is in its sixth year now. It offers STEM students at universities of Brighton and Sussex paid work placements to gain real-world experience developing new technology, as well as providing financial support of £10,000 each for their final year of study.

Devin Yuille, Paxton’s Group Recruitment Manager, has led the programme since it first launched: “We are honoured to be presented the award. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners too.

“We introduced the scholarship programme as a long-term initiative to support local Sussex students entering the engineering and manufacturing industries. Also, the students bring important differences and new ideas, which contributes to Paxton’s continued development of innovative technology.”

Paxton recently held the 2024 Scholarship Open Day, inviting students to their Brighton offices to learn more about what Paxton does and the scholarship opportunity.
