Running on Empty has launched a new mental health campaign aimed at professionals facing the relentless mental and physical demands in the security industry.
The movement comes in response to the growing need for holistic well-being within security and encourages individuals to exercise more and embark on a journey towards enhanced mental wellness.
Founded by individuals within the security industry, the campaign seeks to create a supportive environment where each stride is a step towards improved physical and mental wellbeing.
Running on Empty Co-Founder Sarah Hayes shared, “Running transformed my life and I believe it can do the same for others. This campaign is about more than running; it’s about supporting each other on the journey to better mental health.”
“As a Chartered Security Professional, I’ve experienced the profound connection between physical and mental well-being, I’m committed to not only integrating running back into my life but also inspiring others to discover its benefits,” said Chris Middleton, another Co-Founder.
“Running on Empty has been a beacon of positive change for me,” shared Judy Atkinson, Co-Founder.
“Running became my escape during challenging times, and now, through this campaign, we’re offering that transformative experience to others in the security industry.”
Running on Empty invites security professionals, companies and wellness enthusiasts to join the movement.
Whether it’s lacing up for a run, sharing experiences on social media or becoming a campaign partner, the campaign highlights everyone can play a role in transforming mental health in the security industry.
