New Community Ambassador Announcement - ZORB Security

The ECRC is excited to announce the enlisting of our newest Community Ambassador, ZORB Security.

Zorb Security

Our Community Ambassador scheme is a series of partnerships with local organisations sharing the same vision, goals, and ethos as we do at the centre. These companies recognise the importance of thorough cyber security, and the need to promote this to businesses of all shapes and sizes.

ZORB Security’s software is designed to protect organisations from data theft, by examining its outbound data and preventing any unauthorised disclosure. As an organisation, they retain a focus on inclusivity, with a mission to make these mitigative strategies available to SMEs. Maintaining a good reputation is at the heart of any organisation’s success, and security breaches have limitless potential to cause financial and reputational damage. Despite this, protection against targeted data theft is often overlooked.

Like the ECRC, ZORB Security see the value to investing in cyber-crime prevention, as opposed to reacting to issues as they occur. Data theft is on the rise, particularly proprietary data from those with a reputation to protect, such as finance, legal, or insurance firms. Whilst many businesses actively stop incoming threats, few prevent data theft from hackers, malware, or disgruntled employees.

ZORB Security address this issue, aiming to make these protective measures available to businesses of any size, and change the narrative so that data theft elimination is considered as essential as antivirus is for all PCs.

CEO Dr Mark Graham commented, “We wanted to become a CA to help the multitude of small-medium sized businesses in the UK from being victims of deliberate data theft.

So few can afford to do anything about it. In fact, most will not ever know they have been a victim. This is not about a GDPR fine because of personal data leak. This is intentional, targeted theft from organised criminal syndicates. At best it might result in negative reputational impact. At worst, its companies going out of business.

So many SMBs think they are too small. As the ECRC says, “criminals target vulnerabilities, not company size.”
