The ECRC is thrilled to announce our new ‘Friend of the Centre’, Kent & Medway Cyber Cluster (KMCC).

Friends of the Centre are membership organisations who seek to help their members and community build their cyber resilience. These organisations actively ask their members to join the ECRC, in recognition of the fact that cyber resilience is an essential consideration in today’s digital world. Friends support the ECRC through raising awareness of our aims and objectives and directing their members to take advantage of our membership, resources, and services.

Our newest Friend of the Centre is Kent and Medway Cyber Cluster (KMCC), a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to develop the local cyber security ecosystem across Kent and Medway. KMCC focus their work into three main areas: building the local community on cyber security matters, promoting innovation, and growing local cyber security capabilities, facilitating cyber skills development for all ages and abilities.

Commenting on their partnership with the ECRC, KMCC said:

‘Established in 2023, KMCC is the recognised UKC3 cyber cluster for the Kent and Medway region. KMCC aims to build the cyber security ecosystem throughout the region and contribute to the national effort for a digitally secure future. A critical element in this is our support of SMEs.

KMCC will seek to advise those needing information concerning cyber security and online safety. We also endeavour to connect SMEs to appropriate partners for purposes of exchange and innovation. Tackling the rapid increase in cyber-attacks requires concerted effort, effective communication, and collaboration.

KMCC and the ECRC share the same fundamentals aims and ideals and we are delighted to join the ECRC as a Friend of the Centre.’

Please report online to Action Fraud, the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime. You can report cybercrime online at any time using the online reporting tool, which will guide you through simple questions to identify what has happened. Action Fraud advisors can also provide the help, support, and advice you need.
