Secure Schools are a Newmarket based cybersecurity firm, whose specialism focuses on the education sector; providing schools and multi-academy trusts with tools, training and resources to help them become resilient to cyber-attacks. One of the many services they offer is certifying schools with Cyber Essentials, and they are now qualified to certify Cyber Essentials Plus too.

Cyber Essentials is a cyber security standard, which was developed collaboratively between the UK government and industry. It is a set of standards and technical controls that demonstrate to your staff, stakeholders, and community that you uphold a commitment to certain cybersecurity expectations and requirements.

As a certification, Cyber Essentials is the first level and Cyber Essentials Plus is the level above. Cyber Essentials Plus has the same simple approach, and the protections that are required to be in place are the same, however there is a hands-on technical verification process, ensuring compliance with the criteria.

Businesses may choose to pursue Cyber Essentials to gain a clear understanding of their cyber security level, as well as to provide reassurance to their customers and supply chain that they recognise and value the importance of ensuring thorough cyber security. As one of our Cyber Essentials Partners, Secure Schools are qualified to facilitate this for you, both for Cyber Essentials and now Cyber Essentials Plus also.
