Co-op Secure Response has announced the renewal of its membership with the police Secured by Design (SBD) initiative.

Co-op Secure Response is a fully accredited monitoring and ARC which opened in 2014.

Entirely self-sufficient, with its own servers and power supply, the ARC monitors over 11,000 CCTV cameras, as well as GPS trackers, lone workers, alarms and gates.

Clients include retailers, businesses, churches, homes, charities and solar farms across the UK.

“We’re pleased to have renewed our membership with Secured by Design, especially as our Alarm Receiving Centre was one of the first to be SBD accredited,” said Andy Rigby, Chief Operating Officer at East of England Co-op.

“Our state-of-the-art ARC continues to perform a vital function for our retail business, helping to keep our colleagues and customers safe and now also working with an expanding list of clients across the country.”

Protecting communities

Doug Skins, Secured by Design, added: “I am delighted that Co-op Secure Response have renewed their membership with Secured by Design as they were one of our first accredited SBD Alarm Receiving Centres.

“The Co-op ethos matches that of Secured by Design, with both passionate about protecting communities and making them safer places to live work and visit.

“I am looking forward to our continued working relationship with Co-op Secure Response over the coming years.”
