Amy Worthy, Sales Manager at Morse UK, highlights the company’s unique approach to providing excellent customer service.
Since 1882, Morse Watchmans has been committed to helping business owners and managers keep their organisation safe and secure.
The company’s mission is to make key control easier and more efficient, through integrating its solutions with access control and other physical security systems.
However, Morse Watchmans expertise goes way beyond just its solutions, with the global provider renowned for excellent customer service.
Building trust with its client base is a fundamental factor behind the company’s success, connecting with business leaders across a range of industries, including healthcare, hospitality and government to name a few.
Following continued growth and expanded clientele, Morse channelled part of its focus into a regional approach.
Leading this culture of trust in the UK is Amy Worthy, Sales Manager, who takes pride in representing Morse UK’s core values and fostering an environment of collaboration: “We are the global leaders in key control systems and our expertise allows us to showcase our creativity and innovation, thus allowing a unique and tailored offering to our clients,” said Worthy in an interview with SJUK Editor James Humphreys.
“Our systems are custom-built specific to our clients’ requirements to ensure when proposing our solutions, they can make an informed decision that will work specifically for them, opposed to an off the shelf product,” she continued.
“Our creativity allows us to demonstrate ways in which we can enable standard operating procedures (SOP) to be more efficient and for certain industries to be further compliant with regulation requirements. We also aim to increase productivity and revenue for organisations while lowering risk mitigation.”
Morse UK have built a proven model for achieving success, however constant innovation is key as every year presents new challenges to overcome.
Worthy acknowledges that despite the past twelve months being difficult in some respects for the UK security industry, the company has seen it as an opportunity to take on feedback from clients.
“The UK economic downturn with rise in costs in all aspects has been a challenge for many of us, and will continue to do so, hopefully not for long,” she explained. “We have tackled this head on by taking into consideration our clients and their requirements for long term professional relationships, thus gaining trust and organic growth.
Morse UK’s approach to solidifying and maintaining these relationships is exemplified by its unique cooperation when taking on new business. Worthy highlighted some key considerations when businesses adopt the company’s solutions.
“Rather than our clients breaking the budget on one large scale project, we work with them on a pilot scheme basis to help them get established with us. Then, when it is financially viable, we reevaluate their needs to expand and introduce more systems to the organisation. We found this allows the simple initial steps to becoming more active with their key control management, while remaining within budget.”
In December 2021, Morse Watchmans was acquired by TouchPoint, a moment that has proved pivotal in forming new partnerships.
TouchPoint are a privately owned company, who specialise in global growth, across its portfolio of access hardware, medical technology and intelligent inventory management solutions
Reflecting on this moment, Worthy believes that the acquisition has not only provided long-term stability but also the opportunity to diversify Morse’s solutions offerings.
“With the acquisition from TouchPoint, and with a lot of synergies between Morse Watchmans and SPS Inventory Management we have a strong intention to merge some features and benefits of both businesses to create another option for our clients,” Worthy remarked.
“As a result, we can offer a variation of proposals to industries with high value assets, further custom solutions to clients, expansion to create more opportunities for partnerships with industry leaders in manufacturing, logistics and a full array of industries.”
Looking ahead to 2025, Morse UK will look to mirror and build on the success of the previous year. One way this can be achieved is by targeting new industries and following industry trends from other regions of the company.
“The strongest industries across the UK are predominantly healthcare, hospitality, government, banking and education,” she said. “We have seen a rise in data centres and private collections making enquiries in recent months, and we have a number of untouched industries in the UK which are prominent elsewhere for Morse Watchmans that we are actively approaching with solutions this year.”
Leading companies will always prioritise recruitment. Having the correct candidates in each role is crucial for day-to-day operations and this is an area which can be reflected on as a success for Morse UK’s growth.
This is exemplified by Jordan Andrews appointment in October 2024, as he was tasked with assisting domestic expansion before overseeing global growth.
Following his seamless integration, Worthy hinted at potential new additions to the UK team along with some exciting benefits for clients.
“Morse UK is looking to expand its Sales and Technical team, with additional footprint across the UK for the Sales department. We will be introducing new offerings from the technical department to increase a variety of beneficial options for our clients, which will assist revenue growth for Morse UK, while also providing a more streamline and seamless journey for our clients.”
Key control has long been a fundamental aspect of security, serving as the first line of defence in ensuring physical assets and spaces are safeguarded.
Traditionally reliant on physical keys and lock-and-key systems, the concept of key control is undergoing a profound transformation in response to technological advancements, changing security needs and the demand for greater convenience and flexibility.
With this in mind, Worthy spoke about how Morse UK are planning to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the industry.
“As technology evolves, Morse Watchmans is ensuring that with meticulous research and development strategies we continue to move with such rapid changes,” she explained.
In the modern era, key control is no longer just about locking and unlocking doors. It has evolved into a complex ecosystem that integrates digital technology, real-time monitoring and data-driven decision-making. Worthy believes that due to these aspects, the emphasis on key control will only become more crucial for businesses going forward.
“The combination requirements of integrated systems, enhanced security measures and innovation means we will see key control still being a vital requirement of the future, whilst a lot of clients look to migrate to a more digital based architecture there is always a requirement irrespective for key control.”
