Hanwha Vision has launched the Q series AI 5MP fixed cameras that utilise AI for object and attribute colour detection.
There are six models available in the range including dome, vandal dome and bullet forms with enhanced durability and cybersecurity.
Operators can now locate certain objects and attributes by colours, including clothing (upper/lower) and vehicles, significantly reducing investigation times and enhancing forensic search.
Users can apply nine distinct colour filters to streamline searches. For example, identifying a “red car” or searching for a person based on their trouser colour.
The cameras feature BestShot technology, which uses AI to capture the images of classified objects.
This is then paired with detailed metadata generation that the company claims boosts rapid searches.
The business intelligence features provide key insights for a variety of industries, including smart cities, retail and manufacturing, including:
Area and route usage can be evaluated alongside scene hotspots to inform site layouts, scheduling, maintenance and more.
The Q series AI 5MP fixed cameras also feature virtual line-crossing and loitering detection with automated alerts signalling when an operator may need to investigate an event further.
The cameras have a wide field of view that provides operators with a comprehensive overview of a scene and objects or events of interest.
John Lutz Boorman, Head of Product and Marketing, Hanwha Vision Europe said: “This is an exciting addition to the Q series AI range.
“Colour detection of clothing and vehicles enhance situational awareness, response times and investigations.”
Boorman concluded: “Operators will benefit from the comprehensive and detailed coverage that these cameras provide along with business intelligence insights that will boost long-term efficiency and planning.”
