Billy Hopkins, Country Manager UK & Ireland at Synguard, discusses what inspired him to pursue a career in security and how the company plan to shape the future of access management.

Can you tell me about your role at Synguard? 

As the UK Country Manager for Synguard, I am responsible for overseeing our operations in the region, ensuring that we provide cutting-edge access control solutions tailored to the needs of businesses and institutions.  

My role involves strategic planning, business development and fostering strong relationships with partners and clients.

I work closely with our team to deliver high-quality, secure and scalable solutions that align with our customers’ evolving security requirements. 

What inspired you to pursue a career in security? 

Security has always been a passion of mine, particularly the intersection of technology and safety.

I was drawn to this industry because of the ever-evolving challenges and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in protecting people, assets and data.  

The rapid advancements in access control, biometrics and cybersecurity continue to push boundaries and I enjoy being part of an industry that continuously innovates to stay ahead of emerging threats.
