Employees at the Brighton based security technology manufacturer, Paxton, have selected the Air Ambulance charity covering Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) for its fundraising project of the year.
The money generated by Paxton’s fundraiser, throughout 2025, is set to aid Air Ambulance KSS with emergency care, assisting rapid medical response by air, for those in critical condition.
Air Ambulance KSS is a charity that has been delivering life-saving emergency services for over 30 years.
In 2024 alone the charity responded to over 3,300 incidents, reaching a record high.
Air Ambulance operates 24/7 and plays a critical role in Kent, Sussex and Surrey, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients during emergencies.
Kate Hotson, Events Manager, Paxton who led the initiative said: “Every year Paxton employees vote for a charity local to our UK headquarters.
“We then fundraise for them through various company activities to raise as much as possible on our dedicated JustGiving page.
“Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex are a vital charity for people locally and supporting them this year is an extremely important initiative to people at Paxton,” highlighted Hotson.
Rebecca Ussher, Corporate Partnerships Manager for Air Ambulance KSS stated: “We are thrilled that the charity has been chosen by Paxton employees as its charity of the year for 2025.
“Partnerships like this are so important to us because we are an independent lifesaving charity.
“It costs £20.4M a year or £56K per day to operate our world-leading lifesaving service, with 88% of our total income raised through the incredible generosity of our supporters.
“I am really excited to have this opportunity to work collaboratively with the teams at Paxton to raise both awareness and lifesaving funds with creative and engaging ideas,” finalised Ussher.
This is not the first year Paxton employees have voted and fundraised for a local charity. The company initiative started in 2016.
Since then, they have raised £46,819 for charities including: Teenage Cancer Trust; Rockinghorse Children’s Charity; Clock Tower Sanctuary; Mind Brighton & Hove; Alzheimer’s Society; Cheshunt Tree House and Worthing Hospital.
Hotson concluded: “I’m extremely proud of how everyone at Paxton participates to make fundraising a success.
“It is a testament to the working culture at Paxton which has enabled us to donate an incredible amount of money to some amazing charities in our local area.
“Supporting local charities is something we plan to continue well into the future.”
