A report by the University of Sheffield in collaboration with Gardner Engineering Ltd, a British manufacturer of CCTV mount structure hardware, has received independent validation that its new Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) mounting bracket improves wireless performance – delivering stronger, more stable connectivity for IP-based security systems.
The report, commissioned through the SCAN South Ribble Project and conducted by the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), tested the performance of Wi-Fi 6 APs in two scenarios:
Performance was evaluated across eight indoor locations, focusing on latency (ping), upload and download speed.
The bracket uses a non-drilling clamp mechanism which is said to be suitable for poles, walls and structures in properties where surface integrity must be maintained.
