The Sunday Times has named FGH Security as one of the Best Places to Work in the UK for a third consecutive year.
Founded in 2003, FGH Security set out with the goal of keeping people safe and to raise standards in the UK for the private security sector.
FGH Security provides physical security for events, festivals, hospitality and leisure, retail and more.
FGH Security reportedly remains the only personnel security company to feature on the Best Places to Work list to date.
This recognition builds on recent awards, winning Best Company to Work For at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards in 2024 and Employer of the Year at the Red Rose Awards in 2025.
To deliver insights into what makes a Best Place to Work, The Sunday Times works with WorkL – an employee-experience platform.
The Best Places to Work survey by WorkL is released nationwide and has the aims of honouring and celebrating UK top employers.
To be recognised as one of the Best Places to Work in the UK, organisations must score highly across WorkL’s six-step framework: Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing and Job Satisfaction.
The list reviews submissions following 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace.
This year FGH Security as part of the Best Places to Work in the UK, achieved an overall score of 83%, marking the highest in instilling Pride and Job Satisfaction.
FGH Security highlights that its purpose is to keep people safe, so every decision – from the frontline up to the boardroom – needs to align with this.
The organisation has articulated that it understands that they can only expect team members to deliver its initiatives when the employees feel that they are working in a safe and rewarding organisation.
As a result, FGH Security states that its number one value has always been to ‘Look After Our Team’.
Peter Harrison, Founder and Managing Director, FGH Security commented: “Being recognised for the third year in a row is a testament to our team’s dedication and the positive culture we’ve cultivated.
“Our purpose has always been to keep people safe and that starts with ensuring our own team feels valued and supported.
“I always wanted FGH Security to be recognised as a great company to work for, alongside other national and global companies, not just those in the security field.
“It’s vital we keep shouting about what a rewarding and professional career working in security can be to continue attracting the very best talent.
“The work our frontline team members do in keeping over 100 million people safe every year is vital.
“I also owe a big thank you to everyone in our support, supervisory and management teams, who are constantly going the extra mile to look after our team members, delivering an employment experience where they can perform at their absolute best.”
