Hanwha Vision has launched its AI remote-head camera, featuring a single-body design with support for up to four channels, reportedly ideal for a multitude of applications and sites.

This multi-sensor solution is said to deliver intelligence and comprehensive monitoring in a compact and discreet form.

Four channel AI remote-head camera

Hanwha Vision‘s four channel AI remote-head camera, model PNM-C20000QB, can reportedly be installed alongside a range of the company’s accessories including the 2MP and 5MP lens modules.

The company has articulated that AI object and attribute detection, alongside colour detection (upper/lower clothing and vehicle) are also supported on all four channels.

Hanwha Vision’s solution also reportedly provides four audio inputs and one output channel for synchronised audio-video monitoring.

Furthermore, a HDMI port is said to enable seamless local monitoring of the video signal from all four channels without the need for additional computing power.

The integration of shock detection, via built-in gyro sensors, allegedly strengthens operators’ situational awareness by alerting them to impacts or tampering.

AI analytics: Enhancing detection

AI-powered analytics can enable real-time detection of people, faces, vehicles and licence plates.

Hanwha Vision’s AI algorithms can reportedly discern objects from surrounding irrelevant motion, meaning motion detection alarms are only triggered when specific objects are moving in a scene.

According to the company, event-based alerts can also be triggered for virtual-line crossing, area intrusion, loitering and directional movement, in a boost to safety and security.

The AI remote-head camera also features BestShot, a reportedly powerful function that captures and transmits the most relevant images of classified objects.

The AI-powered analytics enables the relevant images to be cropped around the detected objects which is said to accelerate forensic searches.

Hanwha Vision articulate that the camera’s colour detection can pick up on clothing and vehicles, allegedly improving investigation efficiency.

Data protection and system integrity

The solution includes Hanwha Vision’s next-level cybersecurity, with features such as user authentication and secure communication, access control and audit.

Additionally, Hanwha Vision‘s solution reportedly has an embedded secure element with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 and CC EAL6+ standards, which is said to ensure top-tier data protection and system integrity.

The solution is said to have a detachable installation plate simplifying mounting and adjustments, making installation repositioning or replacement allegedly quick and hassle-free.
