OpenEye has announced its certification in ISO/IEC 27001:2022, which is said to mark another step forward in ensuring OpenEye Web Services (OWS) is as secure as possible for users.

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is a globally recognised standard for information security management, helping to provide a structured approach to protecting sensitive and personal information within an organisation.

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification

Through achieving this certification, OpenEye is able to assure customers that it has in place industry-best standards and practices to keep their information secure and confidential and their data protected from attacks.

Rick Sheppard, CEO and Founder, OpenEye said: “Receiving an ISO 27001 certification is a significant milestone that demonstrates the high standards and rigorous controls we have put in place to secure and protect our customers’ data.”

Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle

The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, requiring organisations to have a thorough set of policies, procedures and controls in place so information security risks can be comprehensively managed and that information maintains confidentiality, integrity and availability.

OpenEye has articulated that it continues to prioritise the security and protection of its customers and their data.

This certification is said to reflect the high standards to which the company and OWS are held – ensuring the platform continues to deliver powerful, cloud‑managed video security.
