After nearly two years of service as a Director of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC), Rick Mounfield has stepped down to pursue a new venture.
ASC has reported that Mounfield has been instrumental in helping the Association of Security Consultants realise many of its key goals during his tenure, including leading the largest ConSeC to date in 2024, growing its business groups into industry leading seminars and spearheading the launch of its newsletter, The Sentinel.
The company has articulated that Mounfield’s professionalism, expertise and dedication have been greatly valued by colleagues and members alike.
Mounfield has stated that he retains his role as a strong advocate and supporter of the Association and its mission.
He will reportedly continue to play a valuable part in its future, including chairing the upcoming ConSeC on 23rd October 2025, ensuring continuity and ongoing support for the Association’s work.
Gary Thomas, Chair, ASC said: “Rick has made a significant contribution during his time as a Director, strengthening the ASC’s profile, encouraging collaboration across the industry and supporting the professional development of our members.
“The board and I wish him every success with his new venture, and we are pleased that he will remain closely involved with the Association.”
Leadership changes are a natural part of any growing organisation, and this transition reflects both Rick and the ASC’s shared commitment to strong governance and to serving the best interests of members.
Speaking on the transition, Mounfield said: “It has been a privilege to serve as a Director of the ASC.
“As I take on this journey with Consult Europe, I remain fully committed to supporting the Association and its members and I look forward to contributing to the Association’s ongoing success in new ways.”
