Pyronix has announced the launch of the DIGI-4G communications module, a solution designed to keep alarm systems connected as legacy networks like PSTN and GPRS are phased out.
The company has articulated that the DIGI-4G delivers fast and reliable alarm signalling over 4G, with automatic fallback to 2G to maintain connectivity even in areas with limited coverage.
This is said to ensure consistent system performance and peace of mind for both installers and users.
Laurence Kenny, Product Director, Pyronix said: “The DIGI-4G is all about preparing systems for what’s next.
“It’s fast, secure and simple to install, offering a drop-in replacement for older comms modules and helping installers maintain service continuity and compliance without disruption.
“With no reprogramming required, the DIGI-4G is quick and easy to install.
“It’s compatible with a wide range of Pyronix panels, including the Enforcer and EURO 46 (both v10 or later) and EURO 76.
“Installers simply power down the panel, swap the unit and power back up, restoring full signalling capability in minutes.”
DIGI-4G reportedly provides low-latency, dependable data transmission, improving performance for connected
services like remote monitoring via the HomeControl2.0 app.
Pyronix has articulated that the module is also ideal for rural, mobile or broadband-free locations.
Its low power design is also reportedly able to keep the system running during power cuts, ensuring alarms stay online longer when it matters most.
