TEKKO Gebäudeautomation GmbH and DoorBird has announced its new partnership: From now on, the products of both companies can be fully and seamlessly integrated.

This is said to expand their portfolios and provide customers with more comfort, security and simplicity.

From door communication to building control

With the DoorBird device interface, up to four intercoms can reportedly be integrated into the TEKKO system.

Through the TEKKO Controller, intercom functions with DoorBird IP stations are said to be enabled.

Direct integration, according to the companies, makes door communication an integral part of a smart building.

Users are said to be able to benefit by being able to manage not only classic features such as “see who’s at the door” or “unlock the door”, but also lighting, shading, heating or energy management (HEMS) from one single interface.

When someone rings the doorbell, the entrance light can reportedly automatically be switched on or scenarios such as video recording can be activated – all within a single platform, without isolated solutions or additional apps.

DoorBird is also said to enable the central configuration and control of all doors and gates in the building.

According to TEKKO, the integrated digital key solution in the IP video intercom stations provides versatile applications for secure, convenient and cost-effective access.

Benefits for installers and end users

Thorsten Hammele, Head of Technology, TEKKO, emphasised: “The cooperation between DoorBird and TEKKO combines smart technology with ease of use – creating door communication that ensures security, comfort and future readiness alike.”

Sascha Keller, CEO, DoorBird added: “With DoorBird and TEKKO, door communication can be conveniently controlled and easily integrated into existing building automation systems – an efficient solution for both new and existing buildings.”
