Amthal Group Companies has installed a specialist gate automation and access control system at Tylers Green Middle School as part of a security upgrade to enhance the safety of its students, staff and visitors.

Tylers Green Middle School articulated that it has a vision to deliver unmissable education whilst supporting over 255 pupils aged 7-11 in a safe and secure learning environment.

Tailored gate and access control system

Amthal reportedly worked closely with the school to design and implement a system tailored to its specific requirements.

The solution is said to provide a secure, automated access system for authorised personnel, whilst streamlining operations, reducing administrative burdens and allowing staff to focus on educational priorities.

“The school site was very well put back together with little evidence of the extensive building work that had taken place.

“There were some teething problems when first using the system which were ironed out with the help of Amthal.

“We are satisfied with the installation and it does add an additional strong layer of security to our school, which is much appreciated.”

Minimal disruption

The installation process reportedly involved a thorough risk assessment and careful planning to ensure minimal disruption to pupils and staff.

Working in partnership with the school, Amthal reportedly coordinated the installation of the gate and access control system around learning timetables, building on an established relationship as the trusted provider for the maintenance and servicing of the school’s intruder alarm system.

The new access control solution is said to further enhance oversight and emergency response, delivering secure entry points for staff and visitors, supported by remote monitoring and real-time access logs.
