Smurfit Westrock Security Concepts (SWSC), has reportedly transitioned its Information Security Management System (ISMS) to the new ISO27001:2022 standard.

The company was reportedly certified by Amtivo, an INAB-accredited certification body, confirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards in ISMS and providing secure solutions to its clients.

The audit conducted by Amtivo reportedly assessed the company’s capabilities in terms of confidentiality assurance, secure data exchange, regulatory compliance, data protection, internal processes and cultural security.

SWSC: Mitigating risks

ISO 27001 is said to be the world’s best-known standard for ISMS.

It reportedly provides a systematic and comprehensive approach to managing and protecting sensitive information within an organisation.

Completing the audit successfully is said to demonstrate the company’s capability to identify potential security threats and implement robust measures to mitigate risks.

“Our commitment to data protection”

Peter Thomas, Managing Director, SWSC said: “The ISO 27001 standard provides a structured framework for managing information security risks in SWSC, thereby enhancing our resilience.

“It demonstrates our commitment to data protection, which strengthens customer trust and loyalty.”
